Hiiiii!! As you may have guessed, my name is Riley Sharp. I was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania where my family has owned a small business for over 100 years. Once you were old enough to see over the counter, you were old enough to go to work and I've been working ever since. I was a cheerleader from the age of five up until my junior year of high school when I decided it was time to take theatre seriously. This past December I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with my BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance.

Growing up in the world of cheerleading, nothing felt right. I would cry and cry until I stepped onto that competition mat and I suddenly had the biggest smile on my face because I was in front of a crowd. That's when I realized I wasn't born to cheer, I was born to perform. When I perform, it feels like everything is right in the world. There is nothing I'm more passionate about than telling stories. Every single person has a story to tell, they just have to find the right way to tell it. I believe my story can be told through song and that's what I strive to provide for every character I embody.  In a rehearsal room I can always be counted on to be prepared, organized (you should see my color coded planner), and ready to collaborate.

When I'm not on the stage, you can find me religiously logging my movie watches on Letterboxd or trying out a recipe from one of my many Ina Garten cookbooks.  I love reading anything from Jane Austen to R. F. Kuang to Frieda McFadden when I need a guilty pleasure. My hours spent playing The Sims is at such an embarrassingly high number, it's better if you don't know. I'm a big advocate for human rights and the Oxford comma.
